1917 - ORIGINAL FILM SCORE
While studying songwriting at university, I was tasked to create an original film score to accompany the movie trailer for 1917. We where supplied with the raw video footage that only included speech. Every part of the composition, including sound effects and instruments, were for us to compose. I wanted to capture the film's atmosphere, while making sure the music reflected the story beat by beat. From quiet, tense moments to big, dramatic bursts, every element was designed to help tell the story and immerse the viewer deep into the scene by choosing specific musical elements that evoked an emotional response.
